After vanquishing Shing Jea Island and parts of Kryta in HM I just realised Guild Wars is INFINITELY more enjoyable and balanced for smaller parties. 4-6 vs 4-6 is a very nice match up. You are able to actually use utility skills and snares to take out your opponent. When PvE begins to fail and brings in mobs of 8-24 is where Guild Wars becomes insanely inbalanced and majorly suckage with everything coming down to who does the most AoE damage and blocking the mobs with minions or spirit walls, god know snares or utility skills are useless against mobs of 8-24.

So yeah, I just noticed GW PvE balance fails as soon as the mob (and party sizes) increase above 6.

You make money in GW to get better and nicer armor, to get better and nicer weapons and to be rich and show off

Took me forever to learn that the F key targeted me. Also was an ah ha moment when I learned that enemies only know how to run to the left and walls can prevent them from scattering at all.

I just realised that the numbers written on the skill bar (1-8) change depending on which key you have mapped to them.

Default Windows sticky keys

I realized this about 4 years ago but was still nevertheless shocked that I spent a whole 6 months playing without it:

{Control Panel -> Accessibility Options -> Use Sticky Keys -> Press modifier key twice to lock} +
{engage sticky left-Ctrl and left-Alt upon entering explorable area} +
{H/H} =
WIN!

  • You see names of all enemies, allies (except minions/spirits), and items
  • Your targets are always called to H/H

Ok uhm I'm so stupid that I always realize things very late...the first thing that now comes to my mind is my recent discover that campagne poppers are party items and not alcohol

About skill icons, they're always so small and uniformly coloured that I think there's a lot I was interpreting wrongly, but now none comes to my mind.

Enraged lunge is a tiger attacking a man. Head is bottom right and 2 arms go round its neck. God know what EoE is though

It looks like a giant Kappa.

And this thread is full of realizations, it's awesome.

Mine was the auto-whisper. After 4 years of typing in names like "IIllzzzzLiiiLllllII" then hitting whisper, I found out that hitting ctrl+click will automatically bring them up in whisper.

I realised that Guildwars is like the video game, sims, a reality where you play avatars in a fantasy world.

Except for the mystical spells, pvp action, enemies that want to kill you and norn fighting tournaments. Well, maybe not the same!

The woman in Vow of Silence is covering her mouth with her WHOLE hand. I always thought she was doing a "shhhh!" index finger move.

BTW, who is that woman!??! She is on the box-art and skill icons but she has no significance in Nightfall. Whats up with that? (Factions: Nika, involved in a quest| Proph: Eve, she's a henchie)
